God Loves You
Someone handed you a card that says "God Loves You" on one side and a QR code on the back.
WELCOME!
You're in the right place
I have some good news I want to tell the whole world but knew I couldn't do it within the first 5 minutes of meeting you. I wanted to make sure you heard this good news in its entirety and thought this might be the best way to do it. I've been a follower of Christ for far too many years keeping it to myself.
God Loves You!
He really does. He want's everyone in the world to know that He loves them and made a way for you to know him and spend eternity with him. I would love to tell you how that can happen. The message takes a little explaining. It doesn't start out so happy, but I hope you stick around to hear all of it. This message WILL make all the difference in your life.
Here's the thing...God is a righteous, and Holy God. All of us (myself very much included) have sinned. Sin in the wrong things we have done. The little white lies we have told, gossip, anger, unkind words, even an unkind thought toward someone else is a sin. The list goes on and on. The Bible says that "None is righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:9). "It says that we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
Stay With ME!
I know that's hard to hear. I didn't like that part the message either, but there is just one more hard thing you have to hear. Because we have sinned, and broken God's laws, and not lived up to his standard of holiness, there is a punishment for that sin. The Bible says that the cost of our sin is death (Romans 6:23). To spend eternity in a place called hell.
But Wait!
There's HOPE!
God Loves You!
Because God loves you he made a way for you to be saved from this terrible punishment. A gift! The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). He tells us that God gave his love toward us that while we were sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). God loved you so much He sent his Son Jesus to earth to Die for your sins on a cross (John 3:16). Jesus' blood was the payment for your sin. Jesus didn't stay dead, he arose three days latter, conquered death, and has defeated death and sin. Yes he can even defeat your sin.
Great News!
So how do you receive this gift. If you believe in your heart that Jesus did what I just told you he did, confess to God that you are a sinner in need of his grace and help, then you can receive God's gift of forgiveness. Romans 10:9-11, 13 says "Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame."For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.""
God Loves You!
He made a way for your sins to be forgiven.
Trust in him and confess.
So...All of that would be pretty heavy to tell you in the first five minutes of knowing you. Also how could I have such life changing new and just keep it to myself?
I don't know if you will believe what I told you. I don't know if you will even read to this point at all, but if you have read this far. If you are standing there a bit shocked over what this life changing news could mean for you.
Pray
Pray to the one true God who Loves YOU. Through his grace and grace alone can you be forgiven from your sins and have relationship with God. He is the way, truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father (God) but by Him (Jesus) (John 14:6). If you are struggling to believe, ask him for faith. Talk to Him like you would talk to a close friend.
What do you have to loose?
God Loves YOU
He sent his son to die for YOU
So he could have relationship with YOU
If you already know the Lord as your savior and want to share the good news but just don't know how like me....give someone this card. What's the worst that could happen?
If you have any questions message or comment. I would love to talk to you more about my best friend and savior!
